Mark and Susan Sipe owned and operated a high-end custom installation company for 15 years. Their focus was to provide fully integrated solutions for large residential and commercial projects. For years they tackled with concerns about the time it took to properly estimate and engineer large projects, how to improve communications between Sales, Installation and Accounting, and how to more fully bill and collect for all work performed.
In 1998 they found a solution with a program called D-tools. They took the software and established new systems which gave clear parameters to their Sales and Engineering department, drastically reducing the time it took to generate accurate and timely proposals. Their Installation and Accounting departments now had comprehensive project information that they used to more effectively manage projects and monitor job related expenses.
D-tools took notice of the way the program was being used and asked Mark and Susan to Beta test new versions including the interface to Quickbooks. Wanting to support their dealers with industry specific applications, D-tools asked Mark and Susan to become Certified Partners. Abacus Prime was formed and Mark and Susan began offering trainings and services to dealers in the low-voltage industry.
